Beginnings…

Thanks to my many friends on Facebook for brainstorming and nudging me into starting my own website and blog. As my FB audience has expanded from friends, to students and former students, and increasingly to people I’ve never met, I realized that the next logical step meant branching out into other social media. This will be a place to collect my political posts and my central location for social media. And yes, I also started a twitter account (@theendlessfiles) — although for now I only plan to share blogs on that site. I still have no idea how to write anything meaningful in 140 characters or less…

My intention here is to continue publishing my political, economic and social thoughts in blog form — probably more appropriate given my typical posting length (or “depth” as I prefer to call it!) I also hope to reach a much broader audience.

On that note: many of you have commented that more people should read my stuff. For those who weren’t just being nice, I would very much appreciate your ongoing help! Please let others know about this blog as you deem appropriate — pass around a link, or link to posts that you like as they happen. If you share something on fb, please be sure to include the blog link. Also, if you like something, please take a moment to like it on multiple platforms (so google likes me more too!)

And don’t forget to share with your friends/family who may not agree with things that I write! As long as it’s respectful, I appreciate and welcome an open exchange of ideas in any forum — blog, FB, the Twitter, or in person. Who knows, I may add a podcast someday too if I get ambitious.

So thank you again to anyone who has been reading my stuff over the past few years, and who contributed to this new direction. I look forward to spending more time with you — we’ll see where the world leads us, and where we can lead it!
